I had gotten this as a souvenir gift from Mishi from when she visited Paris. It came as a duo, 1 hand cream and 1 lip balm.
I was originally cautious about using this regularly because I did not know whether or not the products were available here. However I did find them in Sephora so they can be easily purchased in the US. Let's start with the hand cream.
It comes out as a light cream with a very light scent. Packaging wise, I was worried because I thought it was not going to be sturdy since it was in a squeeze tube. But it held up really well, in fact I drained it down like a toothpaste tube. =)
It is moisturizing at first but it also goes away really fast. Within the hour, my hands felt like dry and I felt like I need to moisturize again. I was not impressed with this hand cream. It does nothing for your hands unless you plan to use it solely for your cuticles and nails. I do not recommend this.
Next up the lip balm.
At first look, the packaging does not look sturdy. It comes out as a lipstick bullet and I honestly thought it was going to break on me. But after using this consistently for the past two months, it has not broken off on me yet. The lip balm smells a little like cocoa butter but it goes on really smooth. I love how moisturizing this is on my lips. Just one application can last me about 3-4 hours before I need to reapply. Pretty awesome! =) I am really enjoying it!
The only downside I can think of is that if you were to buy this by itself, it will cost you $12.00 at Sephora. However you can save a lot of money by purchasing it in the travel set, Caudalie favorites set for $32.00. The travel set comes with the hand cream, cleansing water, divine oil, beauty elixir, and this lip conditioner.
Overall, I do really love the lip balm. I might need to purchase the set just to get my hands on it. The hand cream I can do without it. What do you all think?
